SPE is a professional association whose 79,000-plus members worldwide are engaged in energy resources development and production. SPE is a key resource for technical information related to oil and gas exploration and production and provides services online and through its publications, meetings, and other programs.
Star Scholarship Deadline Nears
In 2008, the SPE Board of Directors created the Star Scholarship Program, which makes available a USD 5,000 annual undergraduate scholarship and a USD 10,000 annual graduate fellowship in each of the Society's 15 geographic regions. Each scholarship and fellowship is renewable for up to four years. Deadline for receiving applications is 15 December. Read more...

More than 13,000 SPE members worldwide provided input to the latest SPE membership salary survey, now available on JPT Online. Salary data is broken down by geographic region, job function, age, level of education attained, and gender.
A/Vs of Fracturing/Stimulation Track from ATCE Now Online
You can now hear selected authors presenting their paper and watch the accompanying visuals from the hydraulic fracturing/well stimulation track (four sessions) at the 2008 SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition. Seventeen presentations are available, along with links to abstracts from all papers in the track.
